Sold by Cycle Motion pty ltd, via various bicycle retail stores in Western Australia and Queensland between 23rd August 2022 to 21st August 2023
On 23rd August 2023 Cycle Motion pty ltd, ACN: 162266604 initiated a recall of the product above.
Reason for recall: Product is non compliant with consumer goods legislation: (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020) and was sold after June 2022 when legislation came into effect.
Defect: Package is is missing button battery warning labels, that warn of batteries being present inside. Packaging is non compliant with current legislation.
Hazard: If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they are likely to suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness or death. Button batteries are also a choking hazard to young children.
What to do: If you have one of these products remove button battery and install in device where it is secure or dispose of button battery appropriately. If not in use package requires appropriate warning stickers applied. Contact Cycle Motion as per below or stickers. Items can be returned to place of purchase (or Cycle Motion pty ltd) for a refund.
